Everyone is familiar with typical bed sizes - twin, double, queen and king. But what if you need accommodations beyond the standard dimensions? A custom bed is your answer! Jann Wisdom Designs has been commissioned to design custom beds for many NBA superstars and other professional athletes who require extra long or extra large beds tailor made for them. She also specializes in designing custom sheets and comforters so you'll have beautiful bedding to fit your custom sized bed.
To help determine whether you may need a custom bed sized specifically for you, we've included an overview standard bed sizes below.
Dimensions: 39" (width) X 75" (length)
Dimensions: 39" (width) X 80" (length)
Dimensions: 54" (width) X 75" (length)
If used for a couple, this only allows 27" width per person, 12" less than a twin.
A queen is 6" wider than a double and 5" longer. However for couples, this allows still 9" less sleeping space per person than a twin.
Dimensions: 76" (width) X 80" (length)
This is only 2" less than the size you'd get if you pushed two extra long twins together.
Dimensions: 72" (width) X 84" (length)
As the longest size available in stores, the California King is 4" longer than the Standard King, but still 4" less in width.
